Hello, my name is Nooshin and I am a mental health clinician and certified fitness trainer. My
primary goal is to take the therapy off the couch and out into the nature. However, indoor movement therapy is available for those who would like that option. Trail running, hiking, and being in nature provide many well documented benefits to the brain. It is a source of solace, inspiration, mental and emotional well being. Doing therapy with me is not about getting fit or losing weight. Our time together is a process in which , you will connect with the outdoors while paying attention to the mind-body connection. I use a variety of approaches that look
at how your thoughts, emotions, and actions impacts your overall functioning in life.
Your initial appointment is always in the studio, where we’ll explore what you’re hoping to change in your life with the help of therapy. We will then decide if you would like to do movement therapy indoors or nature therapy outdoors.
If you choose running, we will make sure it is done at what’s known as conversation pace. This means we run at a pace that makes it possible to talk comfortably. For some people that means walking instead of or
in addition to running, and that’s okay. Conversation pace is variable for everyone, and finding your pace is part of the running therapy work.
